How to get Rich Online

Let's be honest, we all want to be rich. I, personally, have been earning a full time income online for the past 9 years. 7 of those years have been strictly selling at Ebay, and the past few years I have been trying to find other ways to become rich, or make money online.

If you have not been following my blogs, for legitimate ways to make money online, I have found that Ebay, Ehow and Zazzle seem to be the best sites for me. (Update- 9/2011 I still make money at Ebay and Zazzle but writers like myself were bought out by Ehow. I now make most of my income blogging!)

In order to get rich online, you must have a plan.
Do I think I will become rich on any of the three sites I mentioned? Well, there is a possibility, but I try to treat each of those as jobs, and faithfully work hard at each. At any of them alone you can absolutely earn a full time income.

Getting rich online takes work
If you find a "Get rich quick" idea online, you may as well forget it, if it sounds to good to be true, it is. Plain and simple. I like to not only work hard, but set monthly goals.

In order to get rich online, try new things.
Most of the sites I make money at take work, but there is no start up costs or fees ever. I recently started blogging again. I originally tried blogging and did not pick a "Niche" topic, and really made just change. I rethought my idea, researched tons and started a few Niche Blogs.

My extra chances at getting rich online
I decided to think of my blogs as "Lottery Tickets." In other words, instead of buying a lottery ticket, I would write a blog, a few times a week. I understand I have other ways to make money, and am still focusing on those, but my blog may make some pocket change, or I may hit the lottery with it and become rich. In my blogs I have Adsense ads, and I also signed up at Amazon and Clickbank. Basically I place those ads in my blog as well. So, I have three ways to make money on my blog. What motivates me now on my blog is knowing I may become rich online or I may have some days when I just when $20 from "my lottery." (Update 9/2011. I now only use Google Adsense on my blogs and last months earnings were $2400.)

The best way to get rich online is to work hard. If you know sites or have ideas that work well, try them. Be serious and treat your online business seriously, like a job. Even if you do not end up becoming rich, you can absolutely make a nice living online!

I am still not rich by any means, but I absolutely make great full time income. My businesses continue to grow.  Last month, as I mentioned I made $2400 blogging, $75 at Zazzle and $800 at Ebay. Although Mahalo is no longer residual, I still earn money there working every day which usually comes out to about $500 a month. Not rich, but since I am not even the technical bread winner in my family, not too bad!

Update! 9/2011 I thought it was interesting to go back to my old posts and see where I started. I now earn about $2400 a month just from blogging, $500 a month from Mahalo, about $1000 a month from Ebay and between $50 a month from Zazzle. As I mention below, be patient at first!


The truth is there is no get rich quick program online, so any site that offers a full time income immediately is most likely a scam. However, like with any job, if you work hard you absolutely can earn a full time income from home. Like anything, the more you put into your business, the more money you can make.

The nice thing about earning a full time income from home, is you can keep your day job and start working online just a few hours a week, or if you have just lost your job, work full time.

In this article I am going to save you alot of blood sweat and tears. Instead of spending months to years trying to figure out what sites really pay, I am going to share what sites I earn money at, and a few places that are not worth it.

Tip #1 to earn a full time income from home.

Do not put all of your eggs in one basket. Try a few different ways to earn a full time income from home. At each of these, you can earn a full time income and many people do. But, it is nice to see what you are best at. In the back of my mind, I know if one site shuts down unexpectedly, I am ok. I have income coming from a few different sources.

Write from home and earn a full time income.

I did start out blogging and you may read some people do earn a full time income blogging, but my opinion is there are better ways to earn money alot quicker. Maybe blogs pay well, but 10 months down the road, I am not seeing it. Write at Ehow. Ehow is perfect for the beginner or established author. It is as easy as blogging and although you have to be patient the first month, earnings start coming in pretty quickly. Full time earners there are making $2000 a month. Ehow ranks #1 in my book. All of the rest of the sites I have tried pay, but not as well. Not even close. To name a few legitimate sites I write at or have written at: Bukisa, Associated Content, Firehow, Hubpages. Other writing for the more experienced, Examiner, About.com Constant Content. Update, as I mentioned, blogging is now my number one source for income. Ehow has closed their doors but Demand Studios is their father company and a great place to earn full time income at.

Sell at Ebay and earn a full time income.

The Big Question! If you are starting out and have no idea how to earn money online, this article will be a great stepping stone.

As I have been earning a full time income from home for about the past 9 years, 7 of those years I strictly made money from Ebay. With all the "talk" about people making 6 figures online, I wanted to know more. Unfortunately, I did not have any friends or family earning money online so I had to try to figure it out myself.

I started with a blog, here actually, I have not even removed it. I wrote and wrote and made pocket change. I did not even earn $1. To this day blogging does not rank that high on my list of great places to earn money online, BUT I figured out why I was only earning change. I picked a wide topic, everything under the sun, pretty much and that was the biggest mistake. To make money with a Blog you must chose ONE topic, which is called a "Niche Blog." Write often and be patient. Choose good keywords and include them often in your writings. Update, 9/2011 Funny how things change. Last month blogging I made $2400. Blogging is now my main source of income. The key? Be patient! Write tons and keep writing.

The best place to earn money online? If you follow my blog you will notice I have written in greater detail about Ebay and how to earn money there. But I still do rank Ebay as #1 in places to earn money online.

Ranking #2 in how to make make money online, for me, is EHOW. You write what you know and earn money. It is residual income, so what you write today is still earning you money 6 months from now. I have been at Ehow for about 10 months and from September to January I did not write at all (due to my Ebay business being so busy) I was still making between $55 to $125 each of those months. My highest paying article there has earned me $36 dollars so far! SO, the 20 minutes of writing was well worth it.Update 9/2011 I did great here but they recently had a buyout and you can no longer earn money online here. Their father company Demand Studios is always taking apps and is legit!

Ranking #3 in how to make money online, for me, is Zazzle! You simply turn your art or photos into T-shirts, posters, Etc! You earn money on each sale. The nice thing is once you design a shirt or item, again, it is there forever and you will earn money anytime that item is bought.

This one is kind of "Out There!"

**Update, I wrote this Blog this morning, and now, same day have my first $5 sale from Fiverr! It really may be worth looking into as a fun way to make money online!!**

The site is called FIVERR, http://www.fiverr.com/ and you post what YOU would do for $5! It is free to sign up and try your luck at coming with as many ideas as you can, of what you would do for $5!

Ideas are endless. Just for fun I posted a handful of things and did not make any sales yet (I signed up about a week ago) but I did recieve three email questions on my posts.

I do not to expect to get rich here, by any means. But on my quest to become rich, hehe, atleast to the point where my husband can quit his job, I am trying many many different ways to make money online.

My theory is if it is free to sign up, chances are I will try it. Every idea will not end up making you tons of money, I understand that. But the only way to find out what sites pay really good, is to try many.

If you have not been following my posts here, I am sharing what sites pay good, which do not and everything in between.

So far, I do make my full time income at Ebay. If you read my older posts I share how you can turn your Ebay business into a full time career, and not by purchasing wholesale.

I have been selling on Ebay for 9 years and wanted to expand and see what all the hype was about making money online writing etc.

As Ebay takes number one spot on my list, Ehow takes spot number two. Again, feel free to read my posts on Ehow. It is a site you write "How to" articles and get paid. Ehow stands far ahead of any other site, in my mind. They pay the best and it is perfect for the beginner.

Third on my list is Zazzle. Again feel free to see my Zazzle posts.

Fiverr does not rank anywhere for me yet, and I may never make a sale. But it is easy and fun. It takes a minute to post an idea, and who knows, you may come up with something that several people purchase a week and make an extra $80 a month. So I found this fun way to make money worth mentioning.

So, the big question, how much money can you Earn at Zazzle?

Earnings at Zazzle:
Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond status
Monthly Earnings Average $100 $1,000 $5,000 $10,000 $25,000

This is the Zazzle chart, so if you see a seller with a Gold Pro seller status, they are earning $5000 a month.

I have personally read over and over again, the earnings are limitless, and the more items you have on Zazzle the more sales you will be making.

My earnings this month are at $21.(Update 9/2011 I am now bringing in anywhere between $50 to over $100 a month. I pretty much have atleast one sale a day).

Not only can you earn money by selling items you created, but by referring people to their site, and a purchase is made you earn money.

To find your Associate Link to earn money, go to your Zazzle account and click ASSOCIATE. They will give you your link. You can post it anywhere, in your Blog, emails's etc!

I really do rank Zazzle high on my List as an online site that pays well. It does not require much time or work and it is fun. Again, be patient as first, as earnings just trickle in, in the begining. But once you have about 1000 items listed, you soon will be making a sale a day!!

I showed my current Zazzle earnings above, with that being said, I must share that I rarely have time to design anything new. At this pint, I know what designs or items sell best, for me. The cool part about Zazzle is that you do not need to add new designs or products for earnings to keep growing, love that. As I mentioned, design as much as you can in the beginning and soon you will be able to tell which of your items do best. This way when you do get time to design new, you have an idea what not to waste time on.

Earn Residual Income at Associated Content

You can earn residual income at Associated Content, as well as upfront payments.

As I mentioned early in a blog, Ehow ranks number one at places to earn money writing, however Associated Content deserves mentioning.

Sign up for free at Associated Content and begin writing. It is easy enough for a beginner and you write your article and earn residual income, they review the article within a couple days and let's you know if it qualified for upfront payment, as well.

How do I feel they pay? Well, I started this post to be completely honest. In the past 5 months I have written 30 articles and my pay thus far in total has been just over $50. Almost all of those articles I wrote months ago, in fact I have not written there in several months.

Associated Content is worth trying out, see how you do.
I personally have been and still am trying everything. I am trying to see which sites pay well and which do not. Every site I sign up for is free, and so I have nothing to lose but my time. In my quest for financial freedom I feel nothing is a failure. If I try 10 new sites and 1 or 2 pay well, I am successful.

Associated Content does not rank super high on my list, but again, it is a place to make money, and is worth mentioning.

Ebay finds -Buy at garage sales & Make Money on Ebay!

I just wrote a pretty long article here on my Blog On how to start selling and make money at Ehow.
In it I showed the way I earn a full time income on Ebay for the past 9 years, Buying at garage sales Cheap and listing on Ebay and making tons of money. I live in Illinois and it seems as if it has been the longest winter ever. Finally in the paper today, I noticed a garage sale, just a block from my home. I love garage sales, they are so much fun! Especially knowing garage sales equal MONEY!

So, I found some exciting things very cheap, which I am about to list on Ebay, almost all of these were just .25 cents each!

Make Money Online- Write at Ehow

As I mentioned in my first post, in my experience, Ehow ranks #1, well ahead of all the other writing sites.

Where I have or am writing at: Ehow, Bukisa, Associated Content, Constant Content, blogging and Firehow.

On Ehow forums I can see other Ehowers also write at Hubpages, Suite 101, Examiner and About.

Examiner and About.com are a bit different, those two sites you need to be accepted and they are more for the experienced writer.

These are all legitimate places to write and make money, however it seems that many people are using Ehow and their number one source for online writing income.

Ehow is easy enough for the beginer writer and the pay is wonderful!

One top earner just posted his last pay check in the forum, which was over $1000 for the past month, and some claim to be making $2000 a month and more.

You can chose to write as little or as much as you would like. It is free to sign up for the writers compensation program, and never a fee to you. At Ehow you write in "How to Format" and write everything and anything YOU know how to do.

Ehow seems to rank #1 as THE place to write by many. Do not trust my word though, you can do as I have done and spread yourself out at first. Write at many sites and see which ones make the most money, for you. It is so nice to have money come in from several places every month. Ways to Make Money Online for Beginners

I am starting this blog to help others that are starting out. I had so many questions and no one to answer them. You want to find ways to make money online but it does seem confusing. As a beginner, is it best to start out blogging?

I did start out blogging online, at first. My hopes were high, I wanted to become rich, hehe....dont we all! Well, unfortunately, there is no way to get rich quick, but there are many legitimate ways to make money. Blogging did not pay off, there was not many bills I could pay with my $1.62 I made in three months.

Next, I found Ehow. I had always gone to Ehow to find answers, but then I realized I could write there and earn money! To this day, after signing up at many sites and earning money at some of them, Ehow seems to be the best way to make money. The pay is great and it does not take long before money comes rolling in. You do need to be patient at first. Write as many good quality articles and do not focus on th earnings at the beginning. My first month, I did not make the $10 payout. The second month I made $25 and the next month I made about $45. A top earner at Ehow just posted his earnings in the forum and this month he made a bit over $1000. He has been writing at Ehow about 2 years and has about 400 articles. There are top earners even making more money.

I do earn money other ways online, in fact it is very nice right now, I get money coming in every day from several different sites and am making a full time income.

I will share more in the next blog. I plan on only writing about ways to make money online, so keep checking in.
